This seems to come up more and more in my conversations with folks, and it’s super important. Find and stick with a few activities that you can use as a separation between work and not-work, to help your brain transition into a different state of existence. Changing physical location is good, and adding an activity to that can help speed the context switch along.
Establish an “end-of-work” ritual
It doesn’t happen every day, but if I can meditate or do yoga, do chores (any chores!) for twenty minutes, and drink a glass of water when I’m done with work, it helps to turn off “work mode” at the end of the day!
